Affirmations of devotion are a way of acknowledging the love of a same sex couple, one for the other. The ceremony confirms the lasting relationship willing entered in to by the couple in a way that allows family and friends to share the joy of this love.
A renewal of vows gives a loving couple the opportunity to proclaim to the world that their love for each other has stood the test of time. It demonstrates that the couple has the commitment, passion and love to survive against the challenges of life.
Many parents want to celebrate the arrival of their child to the family of the world but do not want a faith-based celebration. A baby naming provides a court-recognised ceremony that welcomes the child and affirms the parents and godparents love and care for the child's future.
